The challenge
The brand already did well on Search and Social. Growth was the hard part. CPMs (cost per 1,000 ad views) were climbing, and the team wanted to add channels without hurting the ones that worked. It also needed more conversions without letting audience quality slip.
What they ran
A media agency and the brand added channels one at a time. Each new channel had to prove itself before it got a bigger budget. Prospecting and retargeting were planned as a single funnel, so new audiences fed the retargeting pool. Budget rose in phases to let results settle. Display and Mobile kept the brand in front of new prospects. Retargeting and dynamic creative brought cart abandoners back to buy.

What other buyers can take from it
Prove a channel before you fund it, and treat prospecting and retargeting as one system. Retargeting gets cheaper as prospecting reach grows.
